For out of town or internatinal flight students, pilots having long term maintenance performed or flying vactioners, we have made provisions with the Flying Home Orchard adjacent to the airport to offer a small but clean furnished apartment with accommodations for two just a few minutes walk from the LAKEAERO shop and tiedown ramp.

Our instructors have hundreds/thousands of hours of expert training experience to make you the best and safest pilot possible. Lake Aero is located at Lake Chelan Airport, in Chelan County, we are just 30 minutes from Wenatchee and Pangborn field. Serving private and commercial customers since 1984.

Tailwheel Endorsement

For licensed pilots we provide instruction in our fully restored 1946 Piper J-3. A typical pilot will receive the tailwheel endorsement in 8 to 10 hours.

Introduction to Flight

During this one hour flight you will learn the basics of aerodynamics, control functions, radio communication and enjoy the amazing scenery of Lake Chelan nestled in the Cascade mountain range. Lake Chelan Airport is also bordered by the Columbia River so be sure to bring your camera !
